I was surprised that I was able to make it out of bed at all today, let alone before 9 a.m. These past three days made me never want to see alcohol again...well almost.
I tend, like most people, to drink a lot less the older I get. So when you have three days worth of outings, and they all involve drinking, you better be ready for a hang over on at least one of those mornings. I had not anticipated that the hang over would come from the first night and thus allow me no re-cooperation time for the other days.
Let's recap shall we?
- Friday night was a bottle of wine followed by a double vodka and ginger. Consumption in this order is not recommended.
- Saturday morning wake-up with one fierce head pounder.
- Saturday night have a wine tasting. Consume way more then the normal level of whites and reds that would be consumed at any other tasting, and all on a near empty tum tum.
- Sunday morning, no hang over but slightly disoriented while running off to a birthday brunch.
- Sunday all before noon, indulge in mimosas at aforementioned brunch.
- Sunday night, attend a girly party and thank your lucky stars that there is no alcohol in sight.
By the time I meandered my way home on Sunday I was so out of sorts that I made a fire and curled up on the couch to zone in front of the t.v. Of course by the time I needed to fall asleep I could only manage one of those toss and turn sessions.
Today I am going to hide in the house and have no social contact.
