As far as I am concerned my holiday decorating is complete.  Yesterday I put up all the lights and garland outside and today I trimmed our tree.

I kept it simple this year and cut out the ribbon.  It doesn't look as finished with out it, but I wasn't about to chance dangling ribbon with two cats.

I might end up putting a few more odds and ends around the house.  I still have one more present to find and that may accidentally put me near a seasonal aisle.  I know it looks like I should be done with all the crap already under the tree, but I'm not.

Now that the weather is finally chilly I notice my mood for soup consumption has increased.  Last night I made some shrimp bisque, my first attempt, and it turned out pretty well.  Could have stood to be a little thicker if anything.

Also with the holidays approaching I want to try to hang out with friends before everyone disappears for a week.  That always seems to happen.  From Christmas Eve till New Years it becomes all family time.  So if anyone is up for a cocktail hour, movies or dinner in the coming month, then let me know.  I also need to find a way to get baked yummies and candy goodness to folks.
