Again we have been overly blessed by generous family members.  Between all the gift cards, clothes, house supplies, gym gear, jewelry, food, wine and funds we received Scott and I feel very loved.  Even the cats made out like bandits.  I will need to post some pictures from the day of once I go through them.  There aren't too many since I was video taping too.

The cats have throughly enjoyed their new mouse and bird toys.  Cat nip highs caused one of them to drag a table runner off the coffee table thus resulting in candy and broken dishes strewn about the basement.  They also seem fascinated by one of Scott's gifts.  His father bought him one of those little mini helicopters for fun.  They follow it around the house whenever he hovers it across the room.

There were a few gifts that I received that really put a smile on my face.

  1. Mussie gave Peaseblossom her first ornament, so I hung hers next to Oberon's on the tree.  My family is very nostalgic but I love it.
  2. My mom as always loaded us down with black trash bags full of gifts.  She also took me seriously when I told her it's best to get people items they can actually use.  She bought us a laundry basket loaded with toiletries, cleaning supplies and various odds and ends.  Yes I was excited, I tend to find cleaning therapeutic, stop laughing at me.
  3. My aunt bought us come nice bamboo serving dishes and platters.
  4. One of the gifts from my grandmother was a nice large box of various teas.
  5. One of Scott's grandmothers gave us a joint gift of all the 50 state quarters she has been collecting since they started that whole thing.  That was cute.

I did go out to take one of the returns back today.  We had a few clothes given to us that don't fit properly so I will be visiting other stores for the same thing.  This return required me to go to Kohl's.  I got a gift card from Scott's dad and step mom for there so I went in planning to use it at the same time.  The return line took me 30 seconds, the shortest return line I will ever experience.  I then squeezed my way among the sale shoppers in the clothing and shoe departments.  I probably go into a Kohl's once a year, but I was able to find clothing in abundance all under $5.

I reined myself in on the clothes, since Scott's gift to me is a shopping spree on Friday.  He, like most men, did not want to be responsible for guessing on gifts and is leaving it up to me.  Since I still had some value left on the gift card I went and picked up some sneakers for the gym.  By the time I made it to the checkout, the line was unbelievable.  I was scared, hold me.  After I made it out alive the sky opened with pelting rain.  I quickly dashed to my car and trucked my way home.

It is still raining, as it has been all day.  Figures, since we will actually be going out for dinner tonight instead of eating in at his grandparents.  It's fine though because his grandfather does need to get out and about more often.  Wish us luck as we swim down stream tonight.  I'll post pictures soon!
